Accessibility at Encore
How Encore approaches inclusive access, validates product surfaces, and invites institutional review.
Last updated July 13, 2026Our target
Encore CE is built and tested toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Accessibility is treated as a product and release requirement across the company site, learner journeys, instructor workflows, and staff operations.
How accessibility is reviewed
- Semantic headings, landmarks, labels, and page identity
- Keyboard navigation and visible focus
- Color contrast and non-color status cues
- Responsive behavior, reflow, and zoom
- Reduced-motion preferences
- Automated rule checks plus manual interaction review
Institution evaluation
Encore invites accessibility and procurement stakeholders into pilot review early. Current evidence, known limitations, institution-specific accommodation paths, and any required documentation are reviewed before a production launch decision.
An automated scan is useful evidence, but it is not described as certification and does not replace manual review or feedback from people who use assistive technology.
Third-party experiences
Some product workflows use third-party identity, payment, document, or communication services. Encore reviews those handoffs as part of the end-to-end experience and identifies provider-owned limitations during institutional evaluation.
Report a barrier
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, contact Encore through the inquiry form and choose “Security and accessibility.” Include the page, task, assistive technology when relevant, and a description of what prevented completion. Do not include student records or sensitive payment information.
